Can I disable sending usage data option while configuring the code? I think that it should be clearly written on the website or on the documentation of what usage/user data it is uploading.
Have you thought about privacy issues or asked about user's consent about it? What kind of privacy policies are implemented? I have not seen anything.

What is sent is the content of the usage.json file. Just check it out. There is nothing privacy relevant in there, nothing that gives a hint what exactly you are calculating or who you are. It is mainly collected to be able to work on a prediction model for the runtime demands of Fleur so that at some point the users will get an estimate on these demands before starting a calculation. So it contains data on the system size, the Fleur version, the used hardware and the demands for that calculation. Here is an example usage.json file:

Having said that you can disable sending the data by providing the "-no_send" command line switch to the Fleur call.
